Willowbrook Cellars Releases 2005 Pinots!
July, 2007— “2005 was a true Pinot year in Sonoma
County,” notes Willowbrook Cellars partner and winemaker Joe Otos.
Temperatures were down, yields were down, but accolades for this vintage’s
rock-star pinots are up, up, up.
Willowbrook Cellars made three of them in 2005: the Morelli Lane Pinot Noir
and their Estate-Grown Pinot from the Russian River Valley, and a new
Sonoma Coast bottling from one of the few vineyards tucked in between San
Francisco Bay and the Pacific. In competitions, Willowbrook’s 2004 pinots
hauled in Gold and “Best of Class;” the 2005 wines are better still.
